1. Confirm the parties and route

Doorstep is operated by DoorstepJourney, business registration number BN488132019, with registered-office GhanaPost GPS address GQ-372-4998. Doorstep and Instant Delivery are the platform names. Contact support@instantdelivery.delivery for support, legal and privacy enquiries.

Identify the sender, contracting carrier, recipient and authorised representatives in the booking record. Confirm pickup and delivery addresses, GhanaPost GPS or map coordinates where available, the town/region, site access and collection/delivery windows. Identify any named warehouse and separate custody stages. Standard Cargo Trucks bookings are domestic intercity, entire-truck services; no international freight or customs clearance is implied.

2. Describe the goods and equipment

Record the contents, package or pallet count, gross weight, dimensions, condition, declared value, seal details and special handling needs. Identify prohibited or regulated goods before dispatch. Confirm the approved vehicle, lawful capacity, loading equipment, restraint requirements and who loads/unloads. A 40-foot designation is not a promise that a particular weight or abnormal load is lawful.

3. Agree the full price before loading

The record must state the transport amount and any platform fee, taxes, tolls, permits, handling, free waiting period, detention rate, storage, return and cancellation charges that actually apply. Specify when waiting begins and who caused it. Unfilled fields are not permission to invent charges later. Confirm any revised destination and price before discretionary rerouting.

4. Distinguish liability from insurance

A declared value is not insurance. Request the actual insurer, policy scope, period, covered goods/route, limit, deductible, exclusions and claim contact before relying on a coverage claim. A separate compensation cap applies only if lawful, completed, prominently agreed and subject to the Customer Terms’ non-excludable protections. No blank figure creates a default zero cap, and a possible insurance claim does not extinguish a refund or the carrier’s own liability.

5. Record each warehouse handover

Where warehouse-assisted delivery is selected, identify origin, regional and local warehouse stages, custodians, count/condition, seal exceptions and handover times. State any actual storage conditions, collection authority and charges. Do not assume temperature control, security staffing or insurance that has not been confirmed. Failure to collect does not automatically transfer ownership or authorise a private sale.

6. Deliver or return with evidence

Record the authorised receiver, time, count, visible condition, shortages and exceptions. A code, photograph or signature records evidence; it does not waive concealed damage or a credible contrary account. If delivery cannot safely be completed, obtain instructions for return or lawful custody rather than discarding the parcel. The return remains open until the authorised pickup-side handover is recorded.

7. Report problems and preserve your rights

Use Help & support with the booking reference, requested outcome and relevant photographs, receipts or custody records. Report visible damage promptly, preferably within 48 hours, to preserve evidence; this is not a shortened legal limitation period or an automatic forfeiture of a claim. Do not send private identity documents in an ordinary initial email. Contact support@instantdelivery.delivery if the in-app route is unavailable.

8. Separate booking agreement

The actual booking/consignment record and any negotiated warehouse or carrier schedule must be completed and accepted by authorised representatives. These published conditions explain the required agreement; they do not create fictitious signatures, declare a truck assigned, certify insurance or replace missing consignment information. Ghanaian law and the Customer Terms apply, with mandatory rights preserved.
